Support Our Creative Forces Grant Match

Donna Lexa Art Centers is honored to be a recipient of the Creative Forces® Community Engagement Grant Program, a program of the National Endowment for the Arts in partnership with Mid-America Arts Alliance. This national initiative uses the power of the arts to improve the health, well-being, and quality of life for military service members and veterans who have experienced trauma—as well as their families and caregivers.

Through this grant, we will be able to continue our veteran groups at our West Milwaukee studio, launch a new veteran group at our Waukesha studio, and offer creative opportunities to veteran families throughout 2025–2026. These programs provide veterans and their loved ones with a safe, supportive space for connection, resilience, and creative expression.

To receive this funding, we must raise a local community match of $25,000. Your gift directly multiplies the impact—helping us unlock national grant dollars and bring meaningful arts experiences to those who have served our country.

Every contribution, no matter the size, brings us closer to our $25,000 goal. Together, we can ensure military-connected individuals in our community have access to the healing and transformative power of art.
