Our new DLAC calendar features 12 colorful works of art created by our very own artists. This year, we’ve been sharing a traveling exhibit of our DLAC Community Paintings, and we’re excited to share six of those paintings in this calendar, along with six individual pieces by DLAC artists.
So, what exactly is a Community Painting? It’s a collaborative artwork created by studio participants, staff, and volunteers. When someone has a little extra paint, instead of throwing it away, they can add it to the community painting. The result is a one-of-a-kind piece that represents the creativity and spirit of our community.
